Shop At Strood Green Update – READY for Christmas!!

Our Christmas tree, kindly donated by Charlie Frost in Newdigate, is happily planted on the island outside the shop, and Ant Hamilton has spent several hours of his precious time installing Christmas lights on the tree and on the fascia, as well as inside the shop. Heather Simister has done a wonderful job decorating the shop window – it looks stunning.
Inside the shop is a hive of activity. Masses of Christmas stock is in store now – look out for the local hand-made chocolates, beautiful Christmas bouquets to order, and a great range of locally produced jams, chutneys, mincemeat, preserves, oils, cakes etc etc. Nearer to the time we shall have home-made mince pies as well.

ABSOLUTE ESSENTIALS FOR THIS ROLE ARE EXPERIENCE OF THE FOLLOWING:- .NET, CMS, EpiServer, HTML, SL Server

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Aiding project managers in providing the technical consultancy
• Development of wireframes, site maps & functioning prototypes
• Providing assistance to Project Managers in the planning of projects (eg provision of estimates, risk analysis, technical options)
• Involvement in full life cycle of projects (including pre-sales, analysis and system design, development and support)
• Support and work collaboratively with team managers across areas of design, development, quality assurance and operations
• Be prepared to travel to London (when needed) to work with client services and digital production team
• Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time
• Be prepared to work outside of standard hours (09:00-17:30) including evenings & weekends as and when required, to meet client delivery timescales

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Experience in Object Oriented Programming in .NET 3.0 or 3.5 using C#
• Experience in HTML/CSS/XML/JAVASCRIPT/AJAX
• Experience writing web services
• Strong SQL Server development/administering skills
• Used to working in a fast paced environment using RAD/Agile methodologies
• Experience of solution design and architecting of Intranet/Extranet applications
• Beneficial experience to include working on (CMS (EPIServer)/SHAREPOINT/E-Commerce)
• Any experience with Social Networking site integration would be advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of digital design, information analysis, business analysis, development and QA processes
• Excellent organisation skills, including the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and across multiple large-scale projects

Delivery of instructor-led training at both training suites and Client sites on company software and payroll legislation.

Evaluation of training provided through course evaluation sheets
Maintaining personal proficiency in both current and new product rollouts.
Ensure both payroll and HR legislation knowledge is kept up to date.
Course administration and billing using HRIS and training database.

The jobholder will frequently be required to travel to client locations throughout the UK, and may occasionally be expected to stay overnight where relevant.
The Client Training Department is accredited by the IITT, (Institute of IT Training). Assistance will be given to undertake the TAP (Trainer Assessment Programme) which will provide a recognised trainer qualification.

JOB FUNCTION

To provide support and assistance to the Credit control team in the Finance department. This role’s responsibilities will include supporting the collection of cash from customers, as well as the accounting for and recording of these transactions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Administering cash receipts which includes receipting of cash on operational systems, dealing with direct debits and credit cards receipts and refunds.

- Providing assistance with cash collection primarily via emails, although some telephone duties are also expected.

- Providing assistance to other members of the Credit Control team as and when required.

- Broker liaison.

- Promoting the best image for the company through a professional manner, personal appearance and behaviour and adhere to company standards and procedures.

- Carrying out any other ad hoc duties as required.

This role would suit an individual who has either been studying Accounts/Finance and is looking for their first accounts role, or alternatively someone who has some accounts experience and is looking for the next step into a position with progression available.
