Is it just me, or are the pavements in Dorking very narrow?

As someone who regularly walks through Dorking, I find them very difficult to navigate during lunch times.

I always seem to find that, wherever the pavements are at their widest, no-one congregates, but at their narrowest, people stand and chat, usually with a shopping trolley or a baby buggy.

Other hazards to work around are bollards outside Carphone Warehouse and along that stretch, cobbles by the White Horse Hotel, extremely narrow walkways outside NatWest Bank, and building scaffolding out side the new Bike Hut up to Clarks.

All of this makes a quick visit into the shops a very frustrating time for everyone.

If you agree, or disagree, with what I’m saying, leave me a comment below and let me know your thoughts. I’d love to hear from you.
