Brockham Bonfire – Saturday 3rd November 2007
Remember, remember, the 3rd of November, because that’s when the party really starts!Work has been under way since late September building the huge bonfire in Brockham, ready for the festivities on Saturday 3rd November.Brockham bonfire is one of the most spectacular firework displays in the area, with thousands of pounds being raised for charities.Here’s a table of events (taken from http://www.brockham.org/)Brockham Bonfire 2007 – TIMETABLE OF EVENTSSaturday, November 3rd10.00- Combined charity sale, Church Hall.14.00- Childrens fancy dress competition, Village Hall.18.15- Procession leaves Village Green.18.30- Procession forms at The Avenue, off Brockham Lane, Led by Reigate Sea Cadet Band.18.50- Procession passes along Wheelers Lane.19.25- Procession leaves Glenfield Road.19.35- Procession arrives at the Bonfire.19.45- Lighting of the Bonfire.20.15- Firework Display.20.45- Auction of the roast pig.PLEASE USE THE CAR PARKS PROVIDED – CARS MUST NOT PARK ON OR NEAR THE VILLAGE GREEN, ALTERNATIVELY THERE ARE BUSES RUNNING FROM DORKING AND REIGATE REFER TO BUS TIME TABLEBrockham village roads will be closed from around 5pm, so get there early. The procession should not be missed, it’s an awesome site. And you will certainly not forget the fireworks.It’s a great event – be there!
